Danielle Sterry, Adult & Teen Trauma Specialist in CT

You want to feel in control of your life again.

You want to learn how to quiet the noise enough to problem solve with clarity.

It can feel debilitating when you feel like all of your options are dictated by your circumstances. When you feel like bad things keep happening to you, your substance use is steering the wheel of your decision making, and/or you just don’t have the energy to overcome ANOTHER hurdle, it is hard not to feel stranded in chaos.

Let’s make you feel empowered again. Together, we can uncover patterns of thinking and behavior that are working against you, and we will uncover why your brain defaults to these habits even when they aren’t serving you. We all have our vices and flaws.

There is no space for judgment here. I aim to create a comforting environment in which my clients can spill their deepest darkest so that we can work through them together.

Meet Danielle!

My clients describe me as genuine, insightful, and relateable.

My approach focuses on building trust and connection first, so that when I highlight your strengths and capabilities I know you well enough for you to believe me. We will talk about your struggles with a solution focused mindset that prioritizes coping skills development over shame spirals.

I love when my clients are committed to their therapeutic progress. It is okay to be nervous, shy, or even guarded, but when clients come in every week and it is clear that they have been reflecting on our conversations between sessions it is so rewarding. I am going to work hard for you, but in order for you to feel growth you have to prioritize our work together.

I try to practice what I teach by maintaining a balanced lifestyle. For me that includes, going to the gym, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
